The Young Nonprofit Professionals Network (YNPN) National Conference and Leaders Institute is an annual event that brings together leaders from across the country for three days of networking, professional development, and chapter collaboration. For the past ten years, the leaders of the national YNPN network have gathered annually to build relationships, learn from each other, and reconnect with YNPN’s vision. The 2017 National Conference and Leaders Institute is where the most passionate and innovative nonprofit professionals will come to take their careers and leadership to the next level.
Atlanta, Georgia has a rich history in the sphere of equity, diversity, and inclusion. The city is the birthplace of the Civil Rights Movement, the "City Too Busy to Hate," and a place known for decades as the "black mecca" for African-Americans in the United States. However, it also has a dark past of slavery, oppression, and bigotry, and although diversity of all kinds is increasing in the Metro region, there are still many battles left to be won in the fight for equality and justice.
Atlanta and the South are not alone in facing these critical issues of inequality, nor is this history unique to the region. Social change work in the South can not only improve conditions for the region but for the country as a whole, which is why there is no better place than Atlanta to hold the 2017 National Conference & Leaders Institute: Leading Through Change.
