Prosperity Together Two-Year Impact Report

Prosperity Together, a coalition of U.S. women's foundations that has pledged $100 million over five years to improve the economic security of low-income women, has disbursed more than $58 million in the first two years of the initiative, a two-year impact report finds. The thirty-two foundations from twenty-six states and the District of Columbia invested more than $29 million in 2017, with 69 percent of the total awarded to more than a thousand nonprofit organizations in support of programs in areas such as workforce development, leadership training, financial literacy, and pathways to postsecondary education. Another 11 percent supported policy change efforts aimed at improving the lives of low-income women and girls of color, while 9 percent went to community engagement efforts and 7 percent supported research on issues such as women’s employment, wages, and childcare access.
