The new Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship, in Geneva, Switzerland, has announced that, beginning this year, it will reward individuals or organizations developing and effectively implementing successful initiatives that significantly improve people's lives with a $1 million prize and its Social Entrepreneurship Award for the 21st Century. The annual award is designed to showcase initiatives that show potential for expansion and replication by giving them the recognition they deserve, disseminating their accomplishments, and fostering their adaptation elsewhere.
Self-nominations will not be considered. Those wishing to be considered as award nominators should provide the foundation with information about themselves, their organizational affiliation, and their experience with social entrepreneurship.
