African Voices Communications, Inc. is a non-profit organization founded in 1992 dedicated to fostering cultural understanding and awareness through art, literature and film. Our mission is carried out through three areas: public programs, family literacy and the publication of African Voices magazine. Our organization is one of only a few to successfully publish original literature and art by artists of color. The magazine plays a pivotal role in helping writers and visual artists establish careers in art and publishing. Our writers have published novels and poetry collections while others have completed books.
