We are a non-profit that provides 24/7 life-saving support via phone, text and chat. We also operate the world’s largest safe space social networking site for LGBTQ youth and run innovative research, education and advocacy programs. We’ve been saving lives every day for almost 20 years.

Job Summary

Overview of the role

The Corporate Development Officer is one of our key deal-makers. They are responsible for the creation and management of an ambitious plan to develop partnerships with corporations, so that The Trevor Project has the sustainable revenue needed to save more LGBTQ young lives. This role will hobnob with CEOs and executives of Fortune 500 companies to identify and initiate new contacts, establish long-term relationships, strengthen existing bonds and secure significant support from corporate partners.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do:

  • Develop a comprehensive and bold corporate partnership strategy working hand in hand with board members and key staff on The Trevor Project’s leadership team
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop exciting materials for corporate proposals
  • Communicate with corporate partners to indicate how their resources have supported saving young LGBTQ lives
  • Develop, manage, and implement cultivation and solicitation strategies for corporate sponsorships and grants
  • Arrange, conduct, and coordinate cultivation, stewardship, and recognition activities for corporate partners
  • Maintain monthly reports and use this data to drive decision making
  • Represent The Trevor Project at external functions and events
