Keene State College’s Alumni and Constituent Engagement Office invites applications for the full-time, benefited position of Coordinator of Advancement & Alumni Programs to be part of our team.
Under the supervision of the Director of Alumni & Constituent Engagement, the priority of this position is to energetically engage alumni and other key constituents in the life of Keene State. The successful appointee will collaborate with other team members to strengthen relationships with alumni, friends, donors and community leaders throughout the country. The ability to work with a high degree of independence and to take initiative is essential, as is a strong degree of diplomacy and tact.
The appointee is expected to: Design and coordinate all direct mail, phonathon and online annual giving; identify, engage and solicit lead annual gifts personally, overseeing partnership with Athletics and volunteer efforts to solicit/steward donors, including through gift club engagement; manage agreed programs to engage alumni and community members with students leveraging the KSCAlumni Board and Students Today Alumni Tomorrow (STAT) to assure the success of keystone alumni events and activities. Collaborate with other team members to strengthen strategic relationships with alumni, friends, donors and community leaders.
We are looking for someone with demonstrated accomplishment in
- recruiting and coordinating volunteers to engage multiple constituencies and affinity groups with an organization
- Developing and leading innovative communication programs to encourage dynamic interactions
- fostering interaction with students to facilitate their transition to become engaged alumni
- generating and coordinating communications, especially personal, on-line and web-based communications.
Bachelor’s degree in communication or other closely related field; minimum of three years’ accomplishment advancing an annual giving program; understanding of how to maximize personal and electronic/web-based means of communication, including for online communities; proven success taking initiative to energize teams and contribute to team success; proven decision making that included a high level of judgment and discretion; ability to use a relational database to underpin program success; evening and weekend work and some travel are required.
Salary starts at $47,920
