The Partnership for the Homeless seeks a creative and entrepreneurial fund raising professional to join its development team.
Successful candidate will lead the organization’s foundation and corporate efforts, managing a portfolio of existing donors, capitalizing on opportunities to upgrade gifts, and developing new funding relationships.
Reports to the VP of Development and will work collaboratively with the President & CEO, the senior management team, program staff and other stakeholders within and outside the organization..
Responsibilities include: writing creative and compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and grant reports; maintaining and growing a portfolio of foundation and corporate donors; conducting targeted research on new institutional prospects; and helping to shape the messaging and marketing of the organization across all communications platforms.
The candidate should have exceptional research, writing and verbal communication skills, and a demonstrated talent for conceptualizing and articulating complex programs and initiatives

The candidate should have a minimum three to five years’ experience, be comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment, and a proven track record of success with foundation and corporate grants (experience with select government funding is preferred but not required)
