Job Summary

The Corporate Giving Officer is responsible for corporate investments, gifts and sponsorships that financially sustain programs and operations of Business Impact NW – a nonprofit dedicated to growing small businesses that create jobs in underserved communities.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with Development Director to set aggressive corporate development agenda for Business Impact NW that meets or exceeds annual budgetary goals
  • Develop and maintain annual pipeline and engagement strategies
  • Execute high-value sponsorship recognition
  • Ensure continuous improvement for the systems and procedures used to seek and steward corporate giving relationships, ensuring excellent fulfillment and stewardship of corporate supporters
  • Develop and maintain strong external relationships within the corporate giving world to facilitate funding opportunities, increasing the number of sponsors for events, growing current sponsor commitments, and creating new investments
  • Write successful grants as needed for corporate support
  • Develop and maintain partner engagement program
  • Work collaboratively with Development & Communications department, senior management team, and external fundraising professionals

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, solve problems and work hands-on to complete tasks
  • Knowledge of corporate philanthropy, sponsorship, stewardship, and donor research
  • Strong computer skills; highly adept in use of technology

Qualifications:

  • BA preferred though combination of education and experience accepted
  • 3-5 year fundraising experience; corporate giving experience preferred but not required
  • Those with passion for Business Impact NW’s mission strongly encouraged to apply

Compensation

Salary: $47,000-57,000 Full Time, DOE. Generous benefits include paid time off, 100% paid medical, and access to employee-paid dental, disability and retirement plans.
