The Foundation is looking for an individual to contribute to its internal communications by developing and disseminating communications tools that deliver priority messages to internal audiences.
Director, Strategic Communications
As a senior communications associate, you will:
- manage relationships with the Foundation’s infrastructure units to meet their communications needs and act as a thought partner, coordinating with directors and staff through all stages of projects;
- lead the development and production of materials to support internal communications, including crisis communications;
- manage and create content for the Foundation’s intranet and internal electronic newsletter; and
- develop other necessary communications channels, including video production and PowerPoint presentations.
The ideal candidate will have at least seven years of professional communications or journalism experience that includes at least three years of project management responsibilities, experience developing communications products and tools and a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or a related field. The individual must be familiar with The Associated Press Stylebook and be a quick thinker with demonstrated problem-solving and interpersonal skills, as well as expertise in areas including publications, online communications, public relations, public affairs and marketing. A strong commitment to, and appreciation for, racial and ethnic equity and inclusion is a must.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
