Job Summary

Urban Alliance is seeking an Executive Director to lead operations and strategy in its Baltimore region. The Baltimore Executive Director is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing employer partners for UA’s flagship High School Internship Program, as well as collaborating with the National Development team to secure philanthropic grants. The Baltimore Executive Director is also responsible for supervising regional program delivery to ensure fidelity to key outcomes and deliverables. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, the Baltimore Executive Director represents UA regionally, manages local staff, and maintains a strong organizational culture. This position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and collaborates closely with other members of the Senior Leadership Team, including the Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales, Fundraising, and Stakeholder Relationship Management

  •  Effectively communicate how UA’s mission addresses the needs of students served, the surrounding community, school partners, and employer partners
  •  Develop and implement regional employer partner cultivation plans to recruit and secure revenue-generating partnerships
  •  Collaborate with the Development Team to solicit and secure grants from regional philanthropic organizations
  •  Ensure accurate tracking of the sales pipeline via Salesforce
  •  Represent the organization externally by participating in public speaking engagements, maintaining a robust social media presence, and attending community events
  •  Serve as a youth workforce development expert by serving as a thought partner to peers in the field and collaborating with the National team on high-visibility thought pieces

Program Management

  •  Support and supervise the regional Program Director to ensure programmatic delivery meets key deliverables and evaluation targets
  •  Cultivate high-level school district relationships and represent the organization at community events
  •  Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer and Finance Director to establish annual budgets, and track and project expenses

Team Management

  •  Facilitate the relationship between the National and Baltimore teams
  •  Support the Program Director with recruiting and managing a high-performing team
  •  Promote strong organizational health and culture throughout the region

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  •  Bachelor’s degree required
  •  At least five years of demonstrated success in fundraising or sales, including relationship cultivation and management
  •  At least two years of experience managing a team of at least four staff
  •  Excellent communication skills
  •  Excellent project management ability
  •  Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
  •  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and an entrepreneurial environment 

Compensation

  •  Annual salary range: $80,000 - $90,000
  •  Access to health insurance, including medical, dental, a vision
  •  Retirement benefits package
  •  Annual professional development stipend 
  • Three weeks of paid annual leave and one week of organizational leave in December
  • All federal holidays off
