Donor Relations Associate

Job Summary

The Donor Relations Associate provides essential assistance for 92Y’s development department. Reporting to the Associate Director of Donor Relations, the Associate supports various cultivation and stewardship activities, including events and event research, correspondence, donor inquiries, and mailings.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Donor Relations team by providing support for all cultivation events, including correspondence, report generation and day-of administration and greeting
  • Track event guest lists and produce event research for cultivation and special events throughout the year
  • In advance of cultivation and stewardship events, assist with providing confidential research profiles producing biographical, financial and philanthropic information
  • Prepare and assemble Donor Relations mailings and email correspondence as needed, including invitations, reports and annual reports
  • Support the fulfillment of benefits throughout the year to Friends of 92Y membership levels
  • Assist in ticketing services for donors, including tracking and fulfilling requests, and producing ticketing reports
  • Provide impeccable customer service to 92Y supporters of all levels, including answering inquiries
  • Perform other related duties as requested or assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 1-2 years working within development / fundraising required
  • Strong project management and administration skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and diplomacy skills required to deal with the public, including major and high-profile donors as well as internal colleagues
  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading and analytical skills
  • Must work well under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Proven high-level of expertise in using Microsoft Office Suite accompanied by a strong eye for detail
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and execute responsibilities in the face of conflicting priorities or unexpected situations
  • Experience in Tessitura or other CRM database strongly preferred
  • Experience with research tools such as iWAVE, WealthEngine, LexisNexis, RelSci, Foundation Directory and others preferred but not required

HOURS

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Some flexibility to work evening and weekend events will be required.
