Background
Playwrights Foundation, a center for new play development in San Francisco, is looking for a part time Community Relationships Manager to work closely with the Executive Artistic Director (EAD) to manage our communications and development efforts as well as further our access and anti-racist work in community relationships.
Job Summary
The Community Relationships Manager will partner with the EAD on the public storytelling about the organization, support building relationships with various stakeholders, and implement fundraising/communications needs. The ideal candidate would have experience in either fundraising and development; marketing and communications; and/or a community organizing role within a nonprofit.

Responsibilities
Primary Job Duties:
- Oversee and partner with EAD on strategy and implementation of regular communication to various stakeholders: donors, audience, playwright alumni, funders, press relations, theatre professionals, and community partners
- Oversee public communication methods and producing/gathering content for the following: public emails, newsletters, program brochures, flyers, videos, social network profiles, website, press releases etc
- Oversee Box Office and database management
- Draft and edit funder proposals in partnership with EAD: assist in managing the proposal development process, strategy on approach, tracking opportunities,
- managing timelines and providing follow-up
- Manage donor administration activities including drafting donor reports, donor database entry, updates, invitations, thank you notes, and other materials
- Develop online fundraising strategies, campaigns and calls to action for online mobilization, outreach and small-donor fundraising
- Track and report on engagement of all outreach sources, playwright alumni activities, and fundraising campaigns
- Event Management
- Assist in seeking potential community partnerships that support the artistic work and mutually benefit each partner
- Oversee seasonal volunteers and interns
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Strong storytelling and writing skills; ability to develop and organize narratives for varying audiences
- Demonstrated excellence in organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to help drive projects to completion and multi-task
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to use good judgment, take initiative and make recommendations in resolving problems and provide guidance to staff Basic image/video editing skills, familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or similar tools is a plus Knowledge of, or experience in, online fundraising, nonprofit advocacy, membership cultivation and marketing is a plus
- Comfort with databases, especially Salesforce or PatronManager is a plus
- Knowledge of EMMA or similar e-marketing platforms is a plus
- Knowledge of Wordpress or similar website management software is a plus

- $20/hour
