Bob and Renee Parsons Foundation Awards $1.5 Million to Phoenix Children's Hospital

The Bob and Renee Parsons Foundation has announced a four-year, $1.5 million grant to Phoenix Children's Hospital in support of the Crews'n Healthmobile community outreach program, which delivers free comprehensive healthcare services to homeless and at-risk children in disadvantaged Phoenix neighborhoods.

The mobile unit is fully equipped with exam rooms, a nurse's station, and space for preventative and interventional medical procedures as well as vision and dental screenings, immunizations, financial and Medicaid enrollment consultations, and mental health referral services. In addition to providing basic operational support for the next four years, the grant will enable the hospital to purchase a second mobile unit, which is expected to be operational by June.

"Renee and I believe that every child, regardless of background, is entitled to the medical care he or she needs," said Bob Parsons, founder of the Go Daddy group of Internet companies. "The Crews'n Healthmobile helps to resolve one of the most basic challenges homeless and at-risk youth face: access. By bringing the hospital's services to the areas and organizations where these kids live, go to school, or spend their time, more children will receive the care they so desperately deserve."
