Cummings Foundation Awards $10 Million in Grants

The Cummings Foundation in Woburn, Massachusetts, has awarded grants totaling $10 million to eight nonprofits in the Bay State, the Boston Business Journal reports.

Recipients of grants ranging from $500,000 to $2.5 million include the Winchester Multicultural Network, which was awarded $1 million to expand its inclusion and civil rights initiatives in Winchester and Woburn; Supportive Living, which will receive $1 million in support of three residential programs; and Tufts Hillel, which was awarded $1 million in support of the Cummings/Hillel Program for Holocaust and Genocide Education at Tufts University. In addition, the Museum of Science in Boston was warded $2.5 million for renovations to its main entrance.

According to the Business Journal, the foundation will announce another round of grants totaling $10 million later this year. In 2011, Bill and Joyce Cummings announced they had signed the Giving Pledge.
