The Denver-based Daniels Fund has announced grants totaling $6.7 million to nonprofit organizations in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.
The majority of the grants were awarded to organizations working to improve education in their communities or serving seniors, the disabled, and the homeless. Grant recipients in Colorado include All Points Transit in Montrose, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Pueblo County, Bright Beginnings in Colorado Springs, and the Greatest Generations Foundation in Fort Collins.
In Wyoming, grants were awarded to CLIMB Wyoming in Cheyenne and Special Olympics Wyoming in Casper, while in Utah grants were awarded to the Boy Scouts of America Great Salt Lake Council, Friday’s Kids Respite in Orem, and First Tee of Utah in Salt Lake City. In New Mexico, a number of organizations with an educational focus were awarded grants.
"The amount of good these organizations do is remarkable, and the services they provide to those in need are irreplaceable," said Daniels Fund president and CEO Linda Childears.
