The Denver-based Daniel's Fund has announced that it awarded $57.4 million in grants and scholarships in 2018, bringing its total giving to more than $818.8 million since its founding in 2000.
Awards in 2018 include $39.1 million in grants to nonprofits located in Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Wyoming, as well as select national organizations. The foundation also awarded a total of $18.2 million within the four-state region through the Daniels Scholarship Program, which provides college scholarships to high school seniors, and the Boundless Opportunity Scholarship program, which provides funding to participating colleges in support of scholarships for non-traditional students.
"Our founder, Bill Daniels, created the Daniels Fund to give back to the communities that contributed to his success," said Daniels Fund president and CEO Linda Childears. "It was his hope that these grants and scholarships would help make life better for people across our four-state region."
