The Dollar General Literacy Foundation in Goodlettsville, Tennessee, has announced grants totaling more than $6 million.
The grants will provide support to adult, family, and summer literacy programs at more than seven hundred schools, nonprofits, and literacy organizations. Since its inception in 1993, the foundation has awarded more than $81 million in grants to nonprofit organizations, helping more than 4.7 million individuals take their first steps toward literacy or continued education.
