Florida International University has announced a $10 million gift from alumnus and construction management executive Chad Moss ('94) to its College of Engineering & Computing.

Awarded through the Moss Foundation, the largest gift ever from  an alumnus to the university will create three endowments for the school, which will be renamed the Moss School of Construction, Infrastructure and Sustainability. The Moss Endowed Chair in Construction Management will be used to recruit a distinguished director for the school; the Moss Foundation Scholarship Endowment will support mainly first-generation students, veterans, and/or disadvantaged youth; and the Moss School of Construction, Infrastructure and Sustainability Endowment will provide support for faculty and/or postgraduate research initiatives; student academic, and industry endeavors; technology resources; continuing professional education; and industry programs and research activities.

"I believe in the power of giving," said Moss, executive vice president of Moss & Associates. "I hope this gift leads to generations of students who are curious, passionate about learning, and equipped to provide innovative solutions to the industry challenges of the future."
