The Georgia Institute of Technology has announced a $10 million challenge gift from an anonymous donor for the renovation of the Arthur B. Edge Jr. Intercollegiate Athletic Center.
The Arthur B. Edge Jr. Intercollegiate Athletic Center Renovation Challenge will match, on a dollar-for-dollar basis, additional gifts in support of the center's renovation, up to $10 million, by June 30, 2020. The donor also is conveying all project-related naming opportunities to donors who qualify; for example, a donor pledging $125,000 would earn a naming opportunity at the $250,000 level.
When completed, the renovated Edge Center will be equipped to provide student-athletes with personalized services, including academic, wellness, and sports performance support, as well as programs aimed at preparing students for professional careers. The center also will feature additional office and meeting spaces for athletics department staff as well as interactive opportunities for Georgia Tech students, fans, and visitors.
