Global Wildlife Conservation Receives $10 Million Grant

Global Wildlife Conservation in Austin, Texas, has announced a $10 million matching grant from the Sangreal Foundation in support of its efforts to protect the world’s wildlife and wildlands.

The challenge grant will match gifts to GWC dollar-for-dollar, doubling the impact of contributions to the organization. The Sangreal Foundation was founded by GWC board chair Brian Sheth and his wife, Adria, to support educational and environmental initiatives.

"With this incredibly generous matching gift, Global Wildlife Conservation has an unprecedented opportunity to vastly increase our important work around the planet, safeguarding the species and ecosystems that are critical to a healthy, thriving Earth upon which we all depend," said GWC chief scientist and CEO Wes Sechrest. "Brian Sheth and his Sangreal Foundation have demonstrated time and again a genuine long-term commitment to lead in environmental philanthropic giving. This support directly translates to important conservation wins on the ground."
