The Inasmuch Foundation in Oklahoma City has awarded grants totaling $11.3 million to thirty-seven organizations working in the areas of health and human services, education, and community achievement, the Oklahoman reports.
Recipients include Sunbeam Family Services, which was awarded $3 million for development of a new campus; the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, which received $2 million to develop forty food resource centers in its service area; and the Oklahoma City Boathouse Foundation, which was awarded $1 million toward construction of a Youth Pavilion. In addition, the University of Oklahoma received $500,000 toward construction of a Scholars Walk, and the Oklahoma Philharmonic Society was awarded $200,000 for a series of eight concerts.
"We made substantial investments this grant cycle in building the capacity of our grantees," said Inasmuch Foundation president and CEO Bob Ross. "We hope that this will allow them, in turn, to make substantial change in our communities."
