Nike has announced a ten-year, $100 million commitment from Michael Jordan and the Jordan Brand in support of organizations focused on ensuring racial equality, social justice, and access to education.
The commitment is in addition to Nike's four-year, $40 million commitment to address racial inequality across the country, in which the Jordan Brand participated. The pledge also is on top of the brand’s latest support of education through the Jordan Wings Program.
"Through our Jordan Wings Program, we have been focused on providing access to education, mentorship, and opportunity for Black youth facing the obstacles of systemic racism," said Jordan Brand president Craig Williams. "But we know we can do more....We must join forces with the community, government, and civic leaders to create a lasting impact together. There is still more work for us to do to drive real impact for the Black community. We embrace the responsibility."
