N2 Publishing, a community media group, has announced grants totaling $3 million to nineteen organizations working to combat human trafficking.
Awarded through N2GIVES, the company's philanthropic arm, the grants will support U.S.-based and international organizations working to fight trafficking and the adverse consequences of modern-day slavery. Grant recipients include All God's Children International, End Slavery Tennessee, International Justice Mission, Real Escape from the Sex Trade (REST), Seattle Against Slavery, Selah Freedom, The Exodus Road, and Truckers Against Trafficking.
"N2GIVES has played a significant role in freedom and rescue with our work here at...Exodus Road," said the organization’s co-founder and president, Laura Parker. "Their generous annual donation has been significant for our field teams. It has helped to fund investigations and technology to support police in rescue missions all around the world. We are deeply grateful for their partnership and their commitment to leverage their influence and business on behalf of the most vulnerable."
"With the creation of N2 Publishing's giving program, human trafficking has quickly become a cause that touches the heart of every N2 team member," said Rebecca Hixon, wife of N2 co-founder Duane Hixon. "As a for-profit company, we know the strongest role N2 can play is financially supporting the best nonprofits fighting for justice for victims and survivors of human trafficking. We believe we can see an end to modern-day slavery in our lifetime. That's why N2GIVES exists."
