NewYork-Presbyterian Receives $25 Million for Spine Hospital

NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City has announced a $25 million gift from trustee Daniel Och and his wife, Jane, in support of its spine care hospital.

Established in 2015, the hospital provides treatment for a range of conditions, from the most common arthritic and degenerative spine disorders to the rarest and most difficult-to-treat spinal deformities, while its multidisciplinary approach to care includes both surgical and nonsurgical options. In recognition of the gift, the facility will be renamed the Daniel and Jane Och Spine Hospital. Daniel Och has been a trustee of NewYork-Presbyterian since 2005.

"We are deeply grateful to our good friends Dan and Jane Och for their extraordinary gift, which will allow us to provide patients with the most innovative, advanced spine care available anywhere," said NewYork-Presbyterian president and CEO Steven J. Corwin. "The Daniel and Jane Och Spine Hospital will set a new standard for excellence in spine care, from the treatment of common disorders to the rarest, most complex conditions."
