Our Fund Foundation receives legacy gifts totaling $10 million

The Our Fund Foundation in Wilton Manors, Florida, has announced gifts totaling nearly $10 million from the estates of Kay Maunsbach, Frederick (Ted) Emery, and James Laird.

Established through planned legacy gifts to the foundation during the donor’s lifetimes, the bequests will support LGBTQ+ nonprofit organizations in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach counties. The total includes funds through the Our Fund Resilience Fund, an emergency fundraising initiative to provide critical aid to South Florida LGBTQ+ nonprofit organizations impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as a $150,000 one-to-one matching gift from a board-restricted fund.

"We are extremely humbled and grateful for these generous and thoughtful legacy gifts," said Our Fund Foundation president and CEO David Jobin. "We are proud to fulfill their wishes and will work diligently to ensure their contributions are fiscally managed to have a lasting and meaningful impact."
