The California Endowment, the largest health foundation in the state, has announced the new program management team that will lead the foundation’s work on its “Beyond 2020 Plan,” a ten-year plan that goes into effect April 1, 2021. The new team members are RAYMOND COLMENAR, managing director, Inclusive Development and North Region; STEVE ELDRED, managing director, Health Systems Southern Region; TAMU JONES, managing director, Justice Reinvestment and Los Angeles Region; JUDI LARSEN, managing director, CEO Office; LAUREN PADILLA-VALVERDE, director, racial equity practice and culture; CASTLE REDMOND, managing director, Schools and Central Region; and SANDRA WITT, managing director, Power Infrastructure Statewide.
The Baltimore Museum of Art has announced the addition of six new trustees to its board. They are DENISE GALAMBOS, vice president of human resources at Baltimore Gas and Electric Company; LISA HARRIS JONES, founder and managing partner of the Harris Jones & Malone LLC law firm; ELIZABETH HURWITZ, recognized Baltimore-based philanthropist; SHERRILYN IFILL, president and director-counsel of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund; STUART O. SIMMS, a respected prosecutor and trial lawyer; and JAMES D. THORNTON, co-founder and principal of Thorwood Real Estate Group, LLC.
New York City-based Enterprise Community Partners has announced the appointment of PAMELA GREEN to its New York advisory board. A longtime resident of Brooklyn’s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood, Green most recently served as executive director of the Weeksville Heritage Center, a multidisciplinary museum dedicated to preserving the history of the nineteenth-century free African- American community of Weeksville in Brooklyn.
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) has announced CARA GIACOMINI as its new chief research and data officer. In new her role, Giacomini, who comes to CASE from the University of Washington, where she served most recently as director of analytics in the University Advancement Department, will be a member of the executive leadership team and will have responsibility for advancing CASE’s AMAtlas initiative, a primary resource and service provider for data, benchmarking, analytics, and original research to the educational advancement community worldwide. Before joining the Advancement department at UW, Giacomini served as a senior research scientist in its Information Technology department.
