The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in Princeton, New Jersey, has announced the election of Nancy-Ann DeParle, J.D., M.A., to the board. DeParle currently is a senior advisor at JP Morgan Partners in New York City, an adjunct professor of healthcare systems at the Wharton School in Philadelphia, and an independent health policy consultant. Before becoming an independent consultant, she was an administrator of the Health Care Financing Administration, where she guided the development of the Medicare+Choice program and the State Children's Health Insurance Program, and, prior to that, an associate director for health and personnel in the White House Office of Management and Budget.
The California Endowment has elected Laura S. Wiltz, Ph.D., to serve as chair and Cynthia Ann Telles, Ph.D., to serve as vice chair of its board of directors. Both will serve one-year terms. Wiltz has been a member of the Endowment's board since its founding in 1996 and was instrumental in developing the foundation's mission. She retired as chief executive officer of the YWCA of Greater Los Angeles in 1999 after nine years of service. Telles currently serves on the boards of the Music Center, the Public Policy Institute of California, and Alliant University. She also has served as a commissioner for the City of Los Angeles for the past eleven years and is currently vice president of the city's Board of Library Commissioners
