Expands Grants Program to Accelerate Social Impact Expands Grants Program to Accelerate Social Impact has announced a more than 300 percent expansion of its Force for Change Grants Program, which supports the innovative use of technology in the global nonprofit and education sectors.

Launched in 2010, the San Francisco-based program will award grants totaling $4 million to nonprofits and public and private educational institutions around the world in support of groundbreaking, sustainable solutions that are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Grants will be awarded in three categories — ensuring inclusive and quality education for all and promoting lifelong learning (SDG #4); promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment, and decent work for all (SDG #8); and "labs" that advance other SDGs.

"We're doubling down on technology innovation to help nonprofits and education institutions better serve their communities and deliver on their mission," said Ebony Frelix, senior vice president of philanthropy and engagement at "By significantly increasing our investments in the most creative technology solutions that will be publicly available, we hope to create a ripple effect in their respective sectors, accelerating change and creating a better tomorrow for the next generation."
