The Silicon Valley Community Foundation has announced that it administered $50 million in matching grants in 2015, more than doubling the $23 million it administered in 2014.
The nation's largest community foundation also announced that the matching funds it administered provided support to 24,450 nonprofit organizations in the United States and forty-five other countries. Approximately 20 percent of the matching grants distributed by the foundation in 2015 came from PepsiCo employees and were matched by the PepsiCo Foundation. The foundation awards matching grants from corporate donors through a partnership with YourCause.
"We applaud our corporate clients and their employees who have made philanthropy a priority through employee engagement programs in their workplaces," said Maeve Miccio, SVCF's vice president of corporate responsibility. "Their gifts support everything from education to the arts to hunger relief programs, and their generosity is inspiring."
