University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Receives $15 Million Pledge

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has announced a $15 million gift from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous in support of facilities, equipment, research, and scholarships.

The third-largest gift in the university's history will establish an endowment at the University of Chattanooga Foundation, funds from which the UTC chancellor can allocate for equipment and technology needs; facility enhancements, renovations, or expansions; scholarly research; undergraduate and graduate student scholarships; and experiential learning opportunities.

"This extremely generous donation will have transformational impact on the university and our ability to provide an excellent, high-quality educational experience for our nearly twelve thousand students," said UTC chancellor Steven Angle. "We are deeply grateful to the longtime and steadfast UTC supporter who has made this commitment and for the impact it will have on current and future generations of UTC students."
