To raise awareness of the 2.5 billion people around the world who lack access to a toilet or basic sanitation and the 780 million who lack access to clean water.
Launched by Water.org co-founder Matt Damon in advance of World Water Day on March 22, Strike With Me aims to raise awareness about the global WASH crisis and efforts to expand access to clean water and sanitation facilities. Damon also is appearing in a series of popular YouTube videos discussing the need to address the crisis.
