The mission of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is to promote the healthy development of children, adolescents, and families and meet the professional needs of child and adolescent psychiatrists over the course of their careers.
To further this mission, AACAP is inviting applications for its Life Members Mentorship Grants for Medical Students program. Through the program, medical students will have the opportunity to attend AACAP’s annual meeting and receive an introduction to the field of child and adolescent psychiatry. Students also have the opportunity to participate in programs sponsored by the Life Members, a group of the oldest and most distinguished members of AACAP, as well as receive networking opportunities and exposure to varying specialties.
Recipients will receive up to $1,000 for travel expenses to the annual meeting, including airfare, hotel, in-transit costs, and meals (max. $75/day).
To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled in and in good standing at a medical school in the United States at the time of the AACAP annual meeting in October 2019.
See the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
