Western Reserve Health Foundation Issues RFP for Issue Specific Grants Program

A supporting organization of the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley, the Western Reserve Health Foundation was established to support the healthcare education and needs of residents of Mahoning County in Ohio.

To that end, the foundation has issued an RFP for its Issue Specific Funds. Through the RFP, grants will be awarded in support of innovative projects in one of two areas:

Cancer Fund — Programs/projects that address the needs of cancer patients and/or their families.

Tod Children’s Hospital Pediatric Fund — Programs/projects that improve the health of children, with a focus on underserved populations.

Requests should not exceed 50 percent of the requested program/project and the request amount must receive prior approval from the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley. The foundation requests that interested applicants please contact the foundation before submitting an application.

To be eligible, applicants must provide services to residents of Mahoning County and be tax-exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or operate under the fiscal sponsorship of an organization with such status, including schools, churches, and public organizations.
