Evergreen Foundation Invites Applications From Community Service Providers in North Carolina

Established in 1977, the Evergreen Foundation works to improve public awareness of and access to quality prevention, treatment, and support services for individuals and families with behavioral health needs, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and/or substance abuse problems in the western North Carolina counties of Swain, Jackson, Haywood, Graham, Cherokee, Clay, and Macon.

Priorities identified by the foundation include infrastructure in support of private service providers; startup and service provision grants; scholarships (with the goal of enhancing the quality of the provider network); public awareness/education; and advocacy on behalf of consumers and the provider network. Grants usually range between $5,000 and $30,000.

See the Evergreen Foundation website for complete program guidelines, application instructions, and a list of previously awarded grants.
