The Omaha Community Foundation believes that engaged residents are an invaluable component of a strong community.
Building on that belief, OCF's Community Interest Funds are designed to empower community members to make decisions about the initiatives that impact their respective communities.
Grant proposals are now being accepted for the following programs:
- Omaha Neighborhood Grants
- African American Unity Fund (AAUF)
- Futuro Latino Fund (FLF)
- Equality Fund for LGBTQIA+
These programs connect and support on-the-ground organizations in the greater Omaha area and provide technical assistance and training where needed. Grant funds awarded through the programs are strategic investments meant to impact those in the greater Omaha community who will benefit from greater access to equity and opportunity. In the long term, the foundation hopes that resident-led grant programs will also help shape systems and policies that contribute to inequities in the community.
Tax-exempt nonprofit organizations serving the greater Omaha area are invited to apply. The Community Interest Funds grant portal will close at 11:59 p.m. on March 1, 2020.
