Open Door Fund at Community Foundation Boulder County Issues RFP

The Open Door Fund, a permanent endowment of the Community Foundation Boulder County, supports the Boulder County community by raising money and distributing grants for programs that enhance the lives of LGBTQ+ people and their allies.

While the Open Door Fund accepts proposals from a variety of organizations, it prioritizes applications from organizations that are primarily LGBTQ-focused and -led, and then considers applications from other organizations seeking funding for LGBTQ+ serving projects and programs. The fund only considers requests for general operating support from organizations that primarily serve the LGBTQ+ community, and it is especially interested in supporting new and emerging ideas and interesting collaborations that contribute to systemic change.

The fund's grant cycle in 2020 will be divided into two separate processes: organizations with budgets of less than $100K will be considered in one process, and organizations with budgets of more than $100K will be considered in a separate process. (Applicants are asked to be certain to apply for the appropriate process when applying online.)

Proposals are due by 5:00 pm. CT on July 10. A committee will review proposals from July 15 to July 25, and notification will be sent to grant recipients in mid-September.

For application instructions and/or to apply, see the Community Foundation Boulder County website.
