The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO) works to advance research on the visual system and the prevention, treatment, and cures for its disorders.
To that end, ARVO invites nominations for the Pfizer Ophthalmics Carl Camras Translational Research Awards program. The program honors Dr. Carl Camras, who was respected for his work as a glaucoma specialist and research scientist and widely recognized for developing prostaglandin analogues for the treatment of elevated IOP in patients with glaucoma. Through the program, three awards of up to $12,000 each will be awarded to young investigators in support of translational research.
Eligible nominees include young researchers 45 years of age or younger at the time of nomination who have exhibited excellence in research and whose discovery or observation must have led to, or have the promise of leading to, clinical application. Neither nominees nor nominators are required to be an ARVO member.
See the Association for Research in Vision website for complete program guidelines, application instructions, and information about previous recipients.
