The Propeller Fund has adapted its annual project-based re-granting program to focus on providing short-term financial support to Chicago-area artists impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
To that end, the fund welcomes applications from artists in the Chicagoland area with a practice grounded in the visual arts. Unrestricted one-time grants of up to $500 will be awarded in support of artists who can demonstrate activity in their artistic discipline over the past three years and have been impacted by the pandemic. Priority consideration will be given to communities that are impacted disproportionately, including ALAANA artists (African descendent, Latinx, Arab, Asian, Native American), d/Deaf and disabled artists, LGBTQ2SIA+ artists, and gender non-conforming and non-binary artists.
Applications will be accepted between October 26 and October 29, 2020.
To be eligible, applicants must be residents of the Illinois counties of Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, LaPorte, McHenry, or Will.
See the Propeller Fund website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
