Alliant Energy Foundation Invites Applications for Community Grants in Iowa and Wisconsin

The Alliant Energy Foundation partners with customers and communities in Iowa and Wisconsin to solve problems, create opportunities, and help make life better through community grant and scholarship programs.

To that end, the foundation welcomes applications for its Community Grants program. Through the program, grants ranging between $500 and $5,000 will be awarded to organizations working in Alliant Energy’s service areas in Iowa and Wisconsin in any of the following categories:

Hunger and Housing — Including clothing, household needs, food and nutrition, and housing and shelter.

Workforce Readiness — Including agriculture, literacy, STEM, workforce development, and youth development/mentoring.

Environmental Stewardship — Including environmental conservation, environmental education, park updates, and trail projects.

Diversity, Safety and Wellbeing — Including             first responders, disaster readiness and relief, domestic/child abuse, and equity and inclusion.

Community Engagement — Including community playgrounds.

The online application will be available on February 1, with applications due March 1, 2021.

Eligible applicants must be tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or be a fully accredited public or private school or university, or a federal, state, or local government agency.
