PFD Research Foundation Invites Proposals for Pelvic Floor Disorder Research

Formerly named the American Urogynecologic Society (AUGS) Foundation, the mission of the PFD Research Foundation is to improve patients’ lives through public awareness and the comprehensive support of research that advances the prevention, treatment, and cure of female pelvic floor disorders.

To help advance that mission, the foundation has issued a 2021 call for proposals for research on the causes, prevention, cure, and treatment of pelvic floor disorders. Applicants may submit proposals for the following research awards:

PFD Research Foundation Fellow Research Award — A two-year grant will be awarded to a fellow in support of clinical/patient-oriented, educational, or lab-based/basic science research.

PFD Research Foundation Faculty Research Award — A two-year grant will be awarded to a junior faculty or affiliate member in support of clinical/patient-oriented, educational, or lab-based/basic science research.

June Allyson Memorial Fund Research Award — A two-year grant will be awarded to a fellow in support of lab-based/basic science research. 

To be eligible, applicants must be an active member of AUGS and have a senior research mentor or mentoring team. Mentors or co-investigators need not be members of AUGS.
