The Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research welcomes applications for its 2021 Seeding Solutions program.
The program encourages the development of unique partnerships that support innovative and transformative research focused on the foundation’s priority areas, which include soil health, sustainable water management, next generation crops, advanced animal systems, urban food systems, and the health-agriculture nexus. In 2021, FFAR will award a total of up to $10 million in grants through the program, with up to ten individual awards ranging from between $300,000 and $1 million. Priority will be placed on projects that demonstrate innovation, strong partnerships, and significant agricultural advancements.
All grants require matching contributions equal to or greater than the funding request. Matching funds must come from a non-U.S. federal entity.
Eligible applicants include institutions of higher education institutions, nonprofit and for-profit organizations, and U.S. government-affiliated research agencies. Any individual(s) with the skills, knowledge, and resources necessary to carry out the proposed research as program director(s)/principal investigator(s) may apply to the program through their home institution or organization.
Pre-applications are due March 10. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application by July 7, 2021.
See the Foundation for Food & Agriculture Research website for complete program guidelines and application instructions.
