The American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society, which was founded in 1969 with an organizational focus on education and research programs for foot and ankle specialists, is accepting applications for its 2014 Research Grants program.
AOFAS awards one-year grants of up to $20,000 for projects designed to advance foot and ankle research. Grants are meant to be seed funding that will help promising research projects gain supplemental funding from national sources.
Grants awarded by AOFAS have resulted in innovative insights in foot and ankle care, presentations at AOFAS and other educational meetings, published articles in Foot & Ankle International and other specialty journals, and larger grants from national sources.
To be eligible, the principal investigator or co-investigator must be an AOFAS Active Member, Associate Member - Osteopathic, Candidate Member, or International Member.
Visit the AOFAS Web site for complete program information and application instructions.
