Fish & Wildlife Service Seeks Applications for Wetland Restoration Projects

The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service is accepting applications for its annual Standard Grants Program.

The agency’s annual matching grants program supports public-private partnerships dedicated to carrying out projects related to the long-term protection, restoration, and/or enhancement of wetlands and associated uplands habitats in Canada, the United States, and Mexico. In Mexico, projects may also include technical training, environmental education and outreach, organizational infrastructure development, and sustainable-use studies.

Grant amounts are considered on a project-by-project basis.

Application deadlines vary by project country. Applications for Mexico-based projects must be received no later than July 1, 2016. Applications for projects initiated in the U.S. must be received no later than July 14, 2016. And applications for Canadian-based projects must be received by August 5, 2016.

See the Fish & Wildlife Service website for complete program guidelines and application guidelines.
