The American Academy for Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Medicine grant program supports the mission of the AACPDM to improve the health and general status of children and adults with cerebral palsy, genetic and developmental disorders, and childhood acquired disabilities by providing financial assistance to like, newly formed organizations for the purpose of developing and presenting a high-quality educational seminar related to increasing the early identification and treatment of individuals with childhood acquired disability.
Through the AACPDM Development Grant program, the academy will provide one grant of up to $5,000 a group that is highly motivated, well organized, and has a strongly vested interest in improving clinical practice through dissemination of knowledge.
To be eligible, applicants must be AACPDM members in good standing; be located outside of the United States or Canada, preferably in countries with no like organization; be involved in research or care of individuals with cerebral palsy, developmental disorders, or other childhood acquired disability; and have potential other funding to supplement the project to completion if needed.
Application forms and all supplementary materials must be submitted on or before August 31, two years prior to the estimated meeting date.
