Many organizations across New York State are doing smart, innovative work that is relevant to the New York State Health Foundation's priority area of Building Healthy Communities. These organizations should be elevating their work and informing key stakeholders at conferences and other convenings in New York and nationally. Yet, because of a lack of resources, they often are unable to do so.
To that end, NYSHealth is inviting applications for its Sponsoring Conference Participation in Support of Healthy Communities program.
The annual program sponsors attendance and presentation opportunities for community-based organizations, health departments, and other low-resource organizations at local, state, and national conferences related to the building of healthy communities. Grants of up to $2,000 per person will be available for up to two attendees from each organization (for a maximum of $4,000). Funding can be used to cover the costs of registration, travel and lodging, and incidentals for attendees while at the conference. Applicants will be eligible for a one-time, non-renewable award.
Eligible applicants include health departments, community-based organizations, and other low-resource organizations, or their fiduciary agents with nonprofit status.
See the NYSHealth Foundation website for eligibility and project guidelines, review criteria, and application instructions.
