The Rockefeller Archive Center in Sleepy Hollow, New York, annually offers a competitive grant-in-aid program to foster, promote, and support research by serious scholars who use the collections located at the center, which includes the records of the Rockefeller family, Rockefeller University, Rockefeller Foundation, and other Rockefeller-associated philanthropies and individuals.
An independent committee reviews each application based on the research topic and availability of relevant material in the center's collections. Awards are made to individuals only; institutions are not eligible to apply. Awards do not support research at other institutions and cannot be used for general tuition support. Application to the grant-in-aid program is open to citizens of the United States and foreign countries.
Awards will provide for reimbursement of up to $4,000 in expenses after the award recipient has finished his or her research visit and submitted expense receipts.
Applicant must contact the center via email or by fax with a description of the project no later than October 15, 2017. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application by November 1, 2017.
