The Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment is inviting applications to its Northern California Environmental Grassroots Fund
The fund supports small grassroots groups in Northern California that are tackling tough environmental problems, including toxic pollution, urban sprawl, sustainable agriculture, climate change, environmental degradation of rivers and wild places, as well as, of communities and health.
Past grants have ranged between $1,000 and $5,000.
To be eligible, projects must be implemented in Northern California, including the entire Sierra Nevada, Bay Area, Central Valley, Central Coast, and North Coast; and be administered by organizations with annual income or expenses of $100,000 or less.
