The Deep Foundations Institute Educational Trust, the philanthropic arm of the Deep Foundations Institute, was established in 2006 to support and encourage individuals in the fields of study related to the deep foundations industry by providing scholarships and opportunities to meet and work with deep foundations industry leaders.
As part of this mission, the trust is accepting applications from women in the industry for a professional development opportunity related to the design and construction of deep foundations. The goal of the Women in Deep Foundations Committee is to increase networking opportunities for and improve the retention of female professionals in the industry.

Funds must be used to cover registration fees, lodging, meals, travel, and other related expenses for the recipient to attend DFI's 42st Annual Conference on Deep Foundations in New Orleans, October 24-27, 2017. The recipients will be featured in the DFI magazine Deep Foundations and also will be recognized at the Women in Deep Foundations Committee's inaugural reception in New York.
