Founded in 1948, the Society for Human Resource Management is the world's largest HR membership organization devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 275,000 members in over 160 countries, the society provides resources to serve the needs of HR professionals and advance the professional practice of human resource management.
SHRM is accepting nominations for its 2017 Michael R. Losey Excellence in Human Resource Research Award, an annual program designed to further the field of human resource management. in 2017, a single award of $50,000 will be presented to an individual in recognition of significant past and ongoing research contributions to the HR management field.
To be eligible, a nominee must possess a broad and deep track record of contributions to the HR discipline through research as well as interactions with the practitioner community. Examples include speaking and consulting engagements, authoring books, book chapters, or journal articles that have affected how HR is practiced. Nominations of scholars with a significant body of work in the field are encouraged.
