ASPCA Invites LOIs for Northern Tier Shelter Initiative Coalition Grants Program

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is accepting Letters of Inquiry for its ASPCA Northern Tier Shelter Initiative Coalition Grants program.

Grants will be awarded to local, state, or regional coalitions of organizations in Alaska, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, Washington, and Wisconsin that are working to dramatically improve and advance animal welfare in their communities. Priority will be given to coalitions working toward long-term, systemic, and sustainable community/regional improvements in animal welfare services. Funding will be distributed to coalitions with demonstrated need, the capacity to effectively absorb funding, and a commitment to complete the proposed project.

To be eligible, coalitions must include at least two established 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal welfare organizations, tribal authorities, and/or governmental organizations in good standing with the Internal Revenue Service and the ASPCA. One lead agency in the coalition must submit an LOI; however, each organization in the coalition must submit a full proposal if invited to do so by the ASPCA. In addition, coalitions and their member organizations must be located in one of the following seven states: Alaska, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Grant amounts will vary on a project-by-project basis.

Letters of Inquiry are accepted on an ongoing basis. Upon review, selected applicants will be invited to submit a full proposal.

For complete program guidelines and application instructions, see the ASPCA website.
